Katija Bogdanic (Croatia, 1994) works across sculptural painting, ceramics, and illustration to consider the shifting meaning of home as both refuge and displacement. Her practice is shaped by a sense of dislocation and an awareness that belonging is never fixed but continually negotiated. Through unconventional materials and recurring motifs such as caves, rooftops, and fragments of the body, she evokes home as a constellation of memory, geography, and imagination.
Katija Bogdanic earned her BFA from the Oregon College of Art and Craft in Portland in 2019 and completed her MFA in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 2021.
