During her month-long artist residency at Casa Lü, Katija Bogdanic conducted research on personal narratives and interpretations of “home” by interviewing a variety of people in Mexico City.

She translated their stories into symbolic illustrations, using a combination of text and image.

Executed in charcoal on paper, the work embraces immediacy and simplicity, reflecting the layered, shifting nature of belonging.
